I work via telephone or via Zoom/ Microsoft Teams to meet the needs of the person I am working with.

I have experience supporting clients with a range of issues, such as self-esteem, confidence, anxiety, depression, identity, loss and bereavement and relationship difficulties.

My background is in early childhood education, where I worked with children and families for 8 years. During my career, I focused on supporting young children to co-regulate their emotions, encourage risk and challenge, and facilitate children to use their voice and contribute to making decisions that affect them.

Alongside counselling, I work as a social prescribing link worker based in GP surgeries, where I provide 1 to 1 support to empower people improve their health and wellbeing.

Working with me

There are a variety of approaches to the way practitioners work with their clients. I have been trained in a therapeutic approach called humanistic, integrative, where I blend together a few approaches, including person centred, transactional analysis and gestalt. This method of therapy adopts a holistic approach that focuses on free will, human potential and self-discovery. It aims to help you develop a strong and healthy sense of self, express your feelings, find meaning, and focuses on your strengths.

My aim

My aim is to provide a safe, accepting space where you feel able to bring yourself just as you are to explore what matters most to you. To me, counselling provides an opportunity for us to co-create a boundaried, empathic and authentic therapeutic relationship. I believe that you know yourself best, what your values are, and what you would like to change or accept. We will be working together to find ways for you to deepen your self-awareness, develop your autonomy and progress towards your goals. It is important to note that I am not here to give advice. Although, I will be here alongside you to support you, listen to you and be fully present with you during your counselling sessions.
